Terms of service
The agreement between Alignodontic DPS and the professionals who use its planning service.
Last updated
1.The service
Alignodontic DPS prepares digital treatment setups, staging, attachment and IPR plans and related files from the scans and instructions supplied by a registered dental professional or laboratory (the client). The service is provided to professionals only. It is not offered to patients and is not a substitute for a clinical consultation.
2.Clinical responsibility
Digital planning is an assistive workflow. The treating clinician prescribes the treatment objectives, reviews every version of a plan, decides whether the proposed movements are appropriate for the patient, and gives the approval that allows a plan to be used. Alignodontic DPS does not diagnose, does not treat, and does not accept clinical responsibility for treatment carried out from a plan. Nothing in a plan is a guarantee of a clinical result.
3.Accounts
- You must provide accurate details when registering and keep your sign-in credentials confidential.
- You are responsible for activity under your account, including cases submitted and approvals given.
- We may suspend an account that is used in breach of these terms or in a way that threatens the service.
4.Case files and content
- You confirm that you are entitled to share the scans, images and records you upload and that you have met your obligations to your patient in doing so.
- You agree not to include patient-identifying information in file names, case references or instructions unless the planning genuinely requires it.
- You grant us the right to process the files for the purpose of preparing your plan and keeping the case record. You keep all other rights in your files.
- Plans, models and documents we prepare are delivered for use in the treatment of the patient the case concerns.
5.Versions and approvals
Each revision of a plan is delivered as a new numbered version. Previous versions are retained. An approval applies to the version approved; production files are prepared from that version only. Changes after approval are handled as a new revision or a new case.
6.Turnaround
We confirm an expected turnaround when a case is accepted. Expected turnarounds are estimates that depend on case complexity, the completeness of the records supplied, and the number of review rounds. They are not guaranteed delivery times.
7.Fees
Fees are confirmed in writing before the first case under an engagement and do not change during it unless agreed. Invoices are payable on the terms stated on them. We may pause work on an account with overdue invoices.
8.Confidentiality and security
We treat case files and instructions as confidential, store them privately with access controls, and record access in an activity log. Our handling of personal data is described in the privacy policy.
9.Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability arising from the service is limited to the fees paid for the case concerned, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10.Changes and law
We may update these terms; continued use after an update is acceptance of the new terms. The law and courts that apply are those of the jurisdiction in which Alignodontic DPS is established, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.
